The event benefiting the Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training efforts will be at Knoxville’s Victor Ashe Park starting at 9 AM Saturday, February 14th – VALENTINE’S DAY! Click here for more information and registration details.

Family Weekend Lunch in the West Club
12:30-2:30 p.m.
Neyland Stadium West Club

Enjoy a Valentine’s Day lunch with your student during Winter Family Weekend. The lunch menu is still being finalized, but promises to be delicious!

UT Gardens Drawing and Painting Class
1:00 p.m.
UT Gardens, Agricultural Campus

This class will explore the gardens in search of colorful winter interest specimens, as well as the basic principles of color theory. Pre-registration is required. Click here for more information.

Men’s Basketball vs. LSU
4:00 p.m.
Thompson-Boling Arena

Join other parents, students, and VOL fans as the UT Men’s Basketball team takes on LSU at Thompson-Boling Arena. Tickets for parents are available through the Winter Family Weekend registration system.

Family Weekend Dinner in the West Club
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Neyland Stadium West Club

Following the basketball game, we hope your family will join us in the Neyland Stadium West Club for a catered dinner. The lunch and dinner menu will differ, so even if you’ll be enjoying lunch prior to the game, be sure to register for the dinner as well.

Join other parents, students, and VOL fans as the UT Women’s Basketball team takes on Kentucky at Thompson-Boling Arena. Tickets for parents are available through the Winter Family Weekend registration system.

McClung Museum
Friday & Saturday 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Visit McClung Museum, UT’s only museum, for free during Family Weekend! Conveniently located on Circle Park Drive near the Torchbearer, the museum features permanent exhibits on ancient Egypt, natural & local history, Native American culture, geology and fossils, and decorative arts. The temporary exhibit “Pueblo to Pueblo: The Legacy of Southwest Indian Pottery” will be on exhibit during Family Weekend. For more information, visit the McClung Museum website.

East Tennessee History Center
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 AM – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Come learn more about the heritage of East Tennessee by visiting the East Tennessee History Center downtown. Exhibits include those from the Smithsonian and the Tennessee State Museum to share a broader range of historical stories. Since the 1990s, the museum has included over 10,000 artifacts from counties all across the state of Tennessee. Admission is free on Sunday, $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and always free for children 16 & under on all other days of the week. For more information, visit the History Center website.

Discounted admission is $4 per person for Family Day participants. The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and promoting women’s basketball on all levels. Visitors can check out the world’s largest basketball, test their skills, and listen in on pep talks from famous women’s basketball coaches, including Pat Summitt! (To receive the discounted admission rate, participants will simply need to show their Family Day nametag or schedule upon entry.)

Other Important Information

Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is unable to offer refunds to any Family Weekend registrant at any time. The Parents Association Family Weekend will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightning, the Parents Association, together with UT may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, the Parents Association will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather. There will be professional photography services on site at Family Weekend and other Parents Association events. The Parents Association reserves the right to use these pictures in publications and on University of Tennessee website(s) as it sees fit.
