Student Scholarships

The Parents Association offers various scholarship programs to benefit students. The application periods for 2014 student scholarships will occur in spring 2014. Click the links below to expand the section about each application.

There are several exclusive scholarship programs available, including the Parents Association Academic Scholarship, the Leadership & Service Scholarship, and the International Scholarship. Each scholarship provides an opportunity for your student to receive funding for unique educational needs at UT or abroad.

A committee comprised of past scholarship recipients, UT faculty, and UT staff will review each application and return their results to the New Student & Family Programs staff. The staff has no input on the selection of scholarship recipients.

As a result of parent support, international scholarship recipients have been able to study abroad in places such as Poland, China, Germany, England, and Uganda just to name a few! Academic and Leadership & Service scholarship recipients have also been able to develop themselves academically and gain valuable experience with leadership development and community service, while studying at UT.

Parents & Families Fund Grant Program

The Office of New Student & Family Programs, along with the Parents Council, coordinates the Parents & Families Fund Grant Program. The Parents Council has recognized the efforts of departments and student organizations within the Division of Student Life, and has championed the effort to re-establish the grant program. Grants provide funding for programs and new initiatives to benefit students.
