Parents Association Member Benefits

Communications and Publications

Annual Parent Calendar: All Parents Association members receive the annual Parent Calendar, outlining the important dates and deadlines affecting students throughout the academic year.

News and Safety Information by E-mail: We keep parents and families up to date on campus and personal safety news through e-mail. If there is a safety advisory or incident on or around campus, we relay that information to you.

Individual Support

Full-Time Staff to Serve You: Our professional staff brings decades of UT experience to work each day. Call or e-mail our office anytime to speak with a member of our staff.

Parent Helpline: Our office and staff understand how important it is to keep parents and guardians informed. The Parents Association provides a Parent Helpline from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern time (M–F).

Support of Student Scholarships: The Parents Association supports the funding of numerous general university scholarships.

Family Weekends: The Parents Association hosts events throughout the year—on campus and regionally—to connect parents to the Tennessee family. Campus events include Family Weekend, Move-in, Parent Outreach, and commencement events.

Parent Outreach Events: These are free events held throughout the year in communities across the state and region. Outreach events are great opportunities for parents to connect and meet other parents as well as university staff and administrators.

 Career Member Benefits Package

  • Increased Efficiency of Membership: Career Members are members of the Parents Association for as long as their primary student is enrolled at UT. No need to worry about renewing your membership annually. Career Membership costs $2.60/month; Annual Membership costs $3.33/month.
  • Priority Registration for Events: You have the opportunity to register early for Family Weekend events. This will ensure that you get the best athletics tickets in the Family Weekend section.
  • Let Us Arrange Your Parking on Campus: Have the Parents Association arrange your visitor parking on campus. With five business days notice, we’ll gladly arrange to have your visitor parking permit waiting for you when you arrive.
