Parent oUTreach
Keeping You In Touch with Other Parents
The Parents Association has recently begun a new initiative to connect parents to other parents in their area who have students at the University of Tennessee. The new benefit, called Parent oUTreach is now offered to out-of-state parents as a way to keep them in touch with other Volunteer parents. We hope to begin offering this service as a benefit to Tennessee residents soon, as we work to most efficiently provide the information to parents. If you have not already noted that you would like to take part in this service, please log into your online membership record and set whether or not you would like your information included in this database.

In addition, the Parents Association plans to connect parents through events as part of Parent
oUTreach. Our first event, scheduled for August 22 in Memphis, TN plans to be a huge success.
More events are in the planning stages at this time and we will notify you, as part of Parent oUTreach
as plans for future oUTreach events become progress.

it. If you do not know your membership ID number, please call our office
at (865) 974-4546. Beginning this summer, parents will be asked on their
membership application if they would like to be included in the Parent
Outreach directory for their area.
Take Advantage of this Service
Once you have chosen to participate in the Parent oUTreach service, simply contact the Parents Association at parents@utk.edu to request a list of Parents Association members in your area. When we receive your email request, we will prepare a report of Parents Association members (who have also chosen to participate in Parent oUTreach) in your area. We will send this report, containing name(s), cities, states, and email addresses in a PDF document. Again, this service is currently being offered to out-of-state parents and we hope to include Tennessee residents soon!
