Parking on a UT Football game day is extremely limited and there is no parking
anywhere on the UT campus. All football game spectators are required to find alternate means of parking
off campus on game days. This may include a large amount of walking in order to arrive on campus.
Some suggestions of places to park are included below:
Private parking is available in the Fort Sanders area.
This is the area of Knoxville surrounding campus, and many businesses
offer parking in their lots for a fee (fees typically start at $15 per
vehicle). This type of parking can be found by driving through the Fort
Sanders area, and the earlier your arrival, the more likely you are to
find a spot.
General public parking will be available at the Knoxville
Civic Coliseum Parking Garage at the cost of $5.00 per car. Spaces will
be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Knoxville Area Transit
(KAT) will provide shuttle bus service at the cost of $5.00 per person
per round trip to campus. The shuttle begins running 3 hours prior to
game time.
RV Parking is available in many locations around campus including the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. RV parking is available on a first-come, first-served
basis. There are 20 spots containing utility hookups (20 amp power hookups) available for $35 per day. Additionally, there are 100 spots with no utility hookups available for
$25 per day. No prior reservations are required or accepted. Again, RV parking is first-come, first-served.
Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is unable to offer refunds to any Family Weekend registrant at any time.
The Parents Association Family Weekend will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightening, the Parents Association, together with the University of Tennessee may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, the Parents Association will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather.
