Neyland Stadium Insider Tours

Before things get started for Spring Family Day, join Tennessee Athletics Fan Experience for an insider tour of Neyland Stadium. This is a unique experience and no two tours are the same! Families signed up for Neyland Stadium Tours will receive their Spring Family Day passes and materials when they check-in for the tour.

Spring Family Day Check-in

Student Union Phase 2

Check-in for Spring Family Day begins on Saturday afternoon! You can pick up your registration materials, swag, nametags, and tickets during this event. Check-in will materials will remain available during the Spring Family Day Reception.

After registering for Spring Family Day, be sure to print your receipt or bring a digital copy with you to check-in.

Student Union Tours

The newest building on UT’s campus is now open! Join the members of our Student Union staff for tours of the new facility. Learn all about this new facility and the impact that it has on the student experience here at UT.

Spring Family Day Reception
1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Student Union Ballroom

Prior to the Vols basketball game at 4:00 PM and the Knoxville Ice Bears match at 7:35 PM, join other Spring Family Day guests inside the new Phase 2 of the Student Union for an afternoon reception and program welcome. You will hear from our Vice Chancellor of Student Life and other campus officials on how you can help your student be successful during the spring semester. You will use your Spring Family Day nametag (available at Spring Family Day Check-in) as your ticket into the reception. Admission into the meal is included in your Spring Family Day Pass, which is required for all attendees.

Heavy hors d’oeuvre will be served. Please email dietary restrictions to after registering for this event.

Step into Knoxville Tours
3:00 PM | 4:30 PM
Trolley Stop by the VolShop (Phillip Fulmer Way)
Join the Visit Knoxville team for a guided tour of Knoxville! This will feature the UT campus, Neyland Drive (TN River, Outdoor Knoxville, etc.), some of Knoxville’s historic homes downtown, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Old City, World’s Fair Park, and more! Take some time to learn about your student’s new home sweet home on Rocky Top! Tours will last approximately 90 minutes.

Men’s Basketball vs. Florida
4:00 PM
Thompson-Boling Arena

Join other parents, students, and VOL fans as the UT Men’s Basketball team takes on the University of Florida at Thompson-Boling Arena. Seats are in section 331A.

Knoxville Ice Bears vs. Fayetteville Marksmen
7:35 p.m.
Knoxville Civic Coliseum

If you enjoy hockey, join us in cheering on the Knoxville Ice Bears as they take on the Fayetteville Marksmen. Be sure to come wearing your best Star Wars gear, because it is Star Wars Night at the game! Game time is set for 7:35 PM at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, and with every ticket purchased, you will receive a free Knoxville Ice Bears hat! Seats are in the Gold Section.

McClung Museum

Visit McClung Museum, UT’s only museum, for free during your Spring Family Day visit! Conveniently located on Circle Park Drive near the Torchbearer, the museum features permanent exhibits on ancient Egypt, natural & local history, Native American culture, geology and fossils, and decorative arts. East Tennessee History Center
Friday 9:00 PM-4:00 PM | Saturday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM | Sunday 1:00 PM-5:00 PM

Learn more about the heritage of East Tennessee by visiting the East Tennessee History Center downtown. Exhibits include those from the Smithsonian and the Tennessee State Museum to share a broader range of historical stories. Since the 1990s, the museum has included over 10,000 artifacts from counties all across the state of Tennessee. Admission is free on Sunday, $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and always free for children 16 & under on all other days of the week. For more information, visit the History Center website.

Visit the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

700 Hall of Fame Drive

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and promoting women’s basketball on all levels. Visitors can check out the world’s largest basketball, test their skills, and listen in on recorded pep talks from famous women’s basketball coaches. Admissions is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $6 for children, and FREE for children under 5.

Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is UNABLE TO OFFER REFUNDS to any Spring Family Day registrant at any time. Spring Family Day will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. In the event of severe weather, the University of Tennessee may elect to cancel any part of Spring Family Day at any time. Get more information on UT’s Inclement Weather Policy.

There will be professional photography services on-site at Spring Family Day and other Parents Association events. The Parents Association reserves the right to use these pictures in publications and on the University of Tennessee website(s) as it sees fit.
