Check-in for Winter Family Day begins on Saturday afternoon! You can pick up your Winter Family Day registration materials, favors, nametags, and tickets. Please print these receipts after you have finished your registration session.

Knoxville City Tours

Come and join our office for a special tour of the city of Knoxville! We have collaborated with Visit Knox to show you some of the fun side of the Scruffy City and to learn more about the history of this great place!

Winter Family Day Meal
3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
Neyland Stadium West Club

Continue your weekend with a delicious provided in the West Club in Neyland Stadium. Join other parents, students, and UT staff for a fun and informative meal. You will hear from some of our senior leadership staff and also some of our key campus partners. You will use your Winter Family Day nametag (available at Winter Family Day Check-in) as your ticket into our meal. Admission into the meal is included in your Winter Family Day Pass, which is required for all attendees. Enjoy exclusive views of the Stadium and Shields-Watkins Field.

Men’s Basketball vs. Ole Miss

Join other parents, students, and VOL fans as the UT Men’s Basketball team takes on the Ole Miss Rebels at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Knoxville Ice Bears vs. Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs

Join other parents, students, and VOL fans as the Knoxville Ice Bears team takes on the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.

McClung Museum

Visit McClung Museum, UT’s only museum, for free during Family Weekend! Conveniently located on Circle Park Drive near the Torchbearer, the museum features permanent exhibits on ancient Egypt, natural & local history, Native American culture, geology and fossils, and decorative arts. East Tennessee History Center
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 AM – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Come learn more about the heritage of East Tennessee by visiting the East Tennessee History Center downtown. Exhibits include those from the Smithsonian and the Tennessee State Museum to share a broader range of historical stories. Since the 1990s, the museum has included over 10,000 artifacts from counties all across the state of Tennessee. Admission is free on Sunday, $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and always free for children 16 & under on all other days of the week. For more information, visit the History Center website.

Visit the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and promoting women’s basketball on all levels. Visitors can check out the world’s largest basketball, test their skills, and listen in on recorded pep talks from famous women’s basketball coaches. Admissions is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $6 for children, and FREE for children under 5.

Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is unable to offer refunds to any Family Weekend registrant at any time. The Parents Association Family Weekend will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightning, the Parents Association, together with UT may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, the Parents Association will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather. There will be professional photography services on site at Family Weekend and other Parents Association events. The Parents Association reserves the right to use these pictures in publications and on University of Tennessee website(s) as it sees fit.
